Common RouteLocker questions.
Use these short answers for the questions that come up most often during everyday use.
Can I organize saved locations into groups?
Yes. You can create custom groups, collapse them, search saved locations, and edit or remove entries later.
Can I add a location from a map?
Yes. The add and edit flow supports map placement and place search, which is useful when coordinates matter more than a standard address.
What does the dashboard show during a trip?
The dashboard can show current speed, distance, elapsed time, average speed, max speed, and on supported devices a compass ring around the gauge.
Can I add or edit a trip manually?
Yes. The trip logger supports manual add and edit when a trip needs correction or was not captured the way you wanted.
What export formats are available?
Trip data can be exported as CSV or XLS.
What do backups cover right now?
Backups currently focus on saved locations data and the backup status around those locations.
What is the difference between import-and-merge and full restore?
Import-and-merge combines incoming saved locations with the current set. Full restore replaces the current set. Use restore only when replacement is what you want.
Can I use RouteLocker on iPad?
Yes. RouteLocker supports both iPhone and iPad, with layout differences that fit each device better.
Does RouteLocker upload my data?
No. RouteLocker does not collect your saved locations, trip history, or notes. Data leaves the device only if you export it or share a location yourself.
